Temporary Disability
While you are unable to work you will receive up to two-thirds of your salary, to a stated amount, until you have been released to return to work for a period
that has been limited by the Legislature to two-three years. This period is determined by the primary treating doctor, subject to the statutory limitations.
Permanent Disability
You are entitled to compensation if your injuries leave you with a permanent problem that interferes with your ability to earn a living from the open labor market. Employees may still be eligible to receive this benefit, even after returning to work. Doctors will measure your permanent disability based on the American Medical Association Guidelines.
