Biography: My name is Parker Shubin and I am from Newbury Park, California. I am currently a freshman at the University of California – Los Angeles where I am studying Neuroscience on the pre-med track!

Biography: I am a first-year MBA student at Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, focusing on marketing and finance. Originally from Ukraine I immigrated alone to the United States back in 2012 to pursue education and a better future.
My most recent role was the business operations manager at Arcon Construction Corp, I hold a Master’s Degree in English and German philology from V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University in Ukraine. I also actively participate in the Business Women’s Club at SCU and serve as a financial consultant for Ukrainian refugees seeking safety in the USA. My post-graduation aspiration is to develop innovative financial products and services to uplift underprivileged communities worldwide.
Reaction Statement: Receiving the GBV Service Scholarship has been an incredibly inspiring and empowering moment in my life. My feelings were overwhelming once I learned about winning the scholarship. It gives me not only support but confidence to move forward and pursue my dreams of creating a meaningful change in the world. It gives me the inspiration to work harder, as having a scholarship to fund my education is a blessing I am so grateful for.
