Joanna L. Sacavitch is an experienced litigation attorney at Glauber Berenson Vego and a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law with 25 years of championing the rights of injured workers throughout Southern California.
Her practice is grounded in a commitment to helping people protect their livelihoods, regain stability, and move forward after a workplace injury. It’s in her blood. Her father was a well-known workers’ compensation law attorney for over 45 years, and her mother was a social worker. She combines extensive legal knowledge with a personalized approach, developing strategies that reflect each client’s circumstances, priorities, and goals.
Joanna has particular expertise in representing public safety personnel injured in the line of duty, as well as stunt performers and behind-the-scenes professionals in the Hollywood entertainment industry. She understands that a workplace injury can affect far more than a career. It can disrupt a family’s security and a person’s sense of independence. She works to help clients navigate those challenges and obtain the benefits and protections available to them.
Her dedication to injured workers extends beyond individual representation. For the past 20 years, Joanna has served on the Board of Directors of the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association (CAAA), supporting its efforts to protect injured workers throughout California. She has been the co-chair of both CAAA’s Public Safety Committee and its Labor Committee, contributing her experience to advocacy that reaches beyond her own clients. She is also a past president of her local chapter, the Southern California Attorneys’ Association.
